Wandering Dave’s Rustic Spoon Heads Out
Keep Yours Eyes Open For Wandering Dave!
Native New Yorker Brings His Culinary Talents To The Road
Dave’s excited to become an entrepreneur and take his destiny into his own hands. He’s leaving behind the restaurant world for his world on his terms.
You’ll be able to find his truck wandering around New York in the Dutchess, Westchester, and Putnam countries. This is a big step for Dave because he’ll finally have the chance to cook what he wants, how he wants, where he wants to. Freedom is what every man searches for, and Dave just found it in his brand new custom built food truck.
Dave and his truck are going to be on the internet soon at his website, Facebook, and Twitter, so be sure to check back in a few weeks for all his updates.
Dave’s truck is fully loaded out.
With a 27″ sandwich prep, double basket fryer, 36″ flat grill, 4 burner oven stove, fridge, freezer, and a storage/cooling rack, this truck is top of the line and has nearly every type of cooking appliance you can think of. Dave’s definitely going to be able to cook anything his way!
Some of the dishes Dave is going to be cooking include pasta, breakfast, and a special brisket po-boy made with sauteed mushrooms, onions, and au jus.
When Dave was leaving his previous job as a restaurant chef he was a little scared.
It’s tough to be on your own, but he wanted to be his own boss, his own partner. Owning a restaurant is expensive, but Dave felt a food truck is a much more reasonable alternative for a first business. He began searching for food truck manufacturers and found us down in New Jersey, and came by our facility to check out some of the trucks we’ve built, and the ones we have in progress. While they were here, Dave’s sales representative, Joeseph, sat down with him and discussed all the important information he’d need to know about purchasing a food truck, such as getting permits and finding a commissary. They also discussed all the equipment he needed inside the truck and how he’d like his graphic wrap to look. That discussion actually prompted us to create a 5 step checklist for everyone who’s interested in entering the food truck world.
Dave was most impressed with our communication here at Vending Trucks, Inc.
Whenever he had a question, Joseph was there to answer it. We made the experience special for Dave because owning a food truck is a big deal. It’s a life changing thing to go out on your own and start a new business, and that’s why we wanted everything to go smoothly for him. Dave’s going to have enough on his plate, and his truck should be the least of his worries.
